Nuphos alternatives
TL;DR
Nuphos, from Zeabur (nuphos.ai), is an Apache-2.0 workspace where a whole team can share one running Claude Code or Codex session. Sessions live on your laptop, a server you own or a Nuphos-managed computer. Kubernetes, Grafana and cloud-account views sit next to the chat, and infrastructure changes wait for a human to approve the plan.
That team-first design is why solo coders move on. Signing in is mandatory, and your first sign-in creates a team. Its docs don't describe git worktrees or diff review, and hosted pricing means talking to sales. For one person running several agents on one repo, Pane fits better: free, no account, each agent in its own worktree with review and git. Paseo and Orca reach your agents from a phone, and Kandev gives you a self-hosted board with approval gates.
the alternatives
Every tool here runs several coding agents at once. The chips show where each one runs: green is native, amber has a catch, red is no.
1.Pane
Best for one person, several agents, each on its own branch, no sign-in.
Every agent gets its own terminal and git worktree, and you review, commit, push and merge without leaving the app. There's no team to create. Your Claude Code and Codex logins are all it needs.

2.Paseo
Best for sessions on a box you own, steered from your phone.
Its daemon runs on your machine or server, and desktop, phone, web and CLI clients connect through an end-to-end encrypted relay. Like Nuphos it's Apache-2.0, but it asks for no account and sends no telemetry.

3.Kandev
Best for approval gates on a board you host yourself.
Each card moves through plan, build, review and PR, and you approve it between steps, much like Nuphos's human-approved plans. AGPL-3.0, no account, and it can run agents in Docker, over SSH or on Kubernetes.

4.Orca
Best for one big app, with SSH hosts and native phone apps.
MIT, with about 40 agents in real terminals, worktrees with setup scripts and iOS and Android apps. It's heavy at about 1 GB installed.

which one should you pick?
stay with Nuphos if
- → teammates need to join the same live session, with Administrator, Editor and Viewer roles
- → your agents touch Kubernetes, Grafana or AWS and GCP accounts, and every change needs an approved plan and a short-lived credential
- → a session has to outlive your laptop, on your own server or a Nuphos-managed computer
- → Slack or Discord bots, cron triggers and shared team memory are part of how you work
pick pane if
- → you're one developer, and a sign-in plus a team is overhead
- → you want every task on its own branch in its own folder
- → you want diff review and git right next to the agents
- → you want to run any CLI agent, not only the ones Nuphos ships an adapter for

why people look for a Nuphos alternative
It's built for platform teams, so a solo setup still carries an account, a team and no worktrees.
Even if Nuphos only drives agents on your own laptop, you sign in first, and that sign-in creates a team. Only a team Administrator can add a runtime, and a local runtime stops when you quit the app. The hosted service has no public price list, just "Contact sales".
Its docs are about operating infrastructure safely: plans a human approves, cloud credentials that expire in about an hour, an audit trail. The quickstart, concepts and runtime pages say nothing about git worktrees, diff review or pull requests, so you can't tell whether two sessions on one repo stay apart.
It's also brand new. The public repo appeared on October 1, 2026, and the docs call it early access. Open bugs include agent question cards that render twice and break the Inbox (#1224), and shared chats that are hard to find (#1456).
moving from Nuphos to pane
Your Claude Code and Codex sign-ins come with you. A Nuphos session becomes a pane on its own branch.
Nuphos runs Claude Code or Codex on your own subscription. Pane starts those same CLIs under the same logins, so you don't need a new plan. Where Nuphos keeps a session in a shared chat, Pane gives each task its own pane: a worktree, a branch and the agent's real terminal, with your .env and agent config files copied over.
Nuphos's split view becomes Pane's status dots, which tell you which agent is busy and which is waiting. When a branch looks right, commit and merge it from the Changes panel. Pane has no shared sessions; it's built for one person. To reach your agents away from your desk, Remote Pane runs Pane's host on a machine or server you own, and you connect from the desktop app or a phone browser.
our verdict
For a platform team that wants several people steering one agent under approvals and expiring cloud credentials, Nuphos is built for exactly that. A solo developer who wants parallel agents on separate branches, with review and git and no sign-in, will find Pane the most direct alternative. Paseo suits always-on agents you check from a phone, Kandev a self-hosted board with gates, and Orca anyone who wants one large app.
how we checked
We didn't install Nuphos. On November 5, 2026 we read its README, docs, GitHub releases and issues, homepage and download page.
Facts about Paseo, Kandev and Orca come from their own docs, releases and issue trackers, researched on October 3, 2026 and rechecked on October 4.
