Your terminal and agents, from your phone

You started a coding agent on your desktop and walked away. Is it done? Is it stuck waiting for a "yes"? Phone SSH apps can show you a shell, but typing into a terminal UI on a phone keyboard is miserable, and a shell won't tell you which of your five agents needs you.

Pane's phone app runs in your browser. It shows every Pane and Session on your computer, live status for each agent (working, done, or needs input), and lets you jump into any terminal, file or page on the host.

What you can do from the phone

  • See which agents are working, finished or waiting for you, without opening each one.
  • Answer the agent's question and send it on its way.
  • Open terminals, browse and edit files, and preview images, PDFs and videos from the host.
  • Open the host's dev server and HTML pages in a browser tab.
  • Keep your own place: your phone remembers which Pane and tab you were on, and it doesn't move your desktop's view.

Set it up

  1. Install Pane on your computer: download.
  2. Open Settings → Remote Access → Connection codes → Set Up Host and copy the pane-remote:// code.
  3. On your phone, open runpane.com/app, paste the code, and add it to your home screen.

Your phone and computer need to be on the same Tailscale network. Install the Tailscale app on your phone and sign in with the same account.
